The hydro pump is deflected, the psychic barrier of his musharna to the rescue. Sensing the danger the others seem to have gotten themselves into he has come to the rescue. And partly to make meg feel better about the situation. He's used to how much of a scaredy cat she is.

Evan starts laughing when the prinplup seems to almost huff at the fact its attack didn't work and the wild pokemon readies another attack. This time Meg is far less worried and afraid. She meets it's metal claw with her own cloaked int shadows and pushes it back. He shadow grows and she exclaims in an attempt the frighten the pokemon off. it take a few tries but it runs off nontheless, if not because it was scared but because the mimikyu is being weird.

She returns to his side and nuzzles into into his arm with a pleased murmur.

she's napping at his side when a splash of water nearby gets his attention. Another pokemon is not unusual and he cant help but find himself curious when a famous eveelution plays along the banks of the falls nearby. It seems to be enjoying itself and evan is willing to watch it as he pets the minikyu through her rag disguise. She mutters in her sleep at his side and he chuckles, getting the attention of the water.

It approaches him with curious sniffs at his feet and his things and her lets it be fore the moment. If it does nothing to bother them he will return the favor. He' surprised when it keeps looking back up at him and eventualy flops down nearby as if to join them in their afternoon nap.

He relaxes, with his other pokemon nearby there's no reason to cause a fuss for the wild kne versus his own. Should something happen they will handle it and before long evan is lulled into sleep by the surroundings and comfort of pokemon alike.

He only captures the water type by an odd stroke of luck, fumbling when he wakes and knocking a pokeball out of its place in his bag, it rolls and hits a rocks just hard enough to activate on the wild vaporeon and he takes the sign that fate believes this meant to be.
